Little River Cabin
Hospitality design and Build
In 2015, I bought an abandoned, foreclosed log cabin in the Catskill Mountains of Upstate NY. After it sat abandoned for years, we spent our weekends beginning the repairs necessary to bring it back to life: a full gut renovation, from plumbing and electrical to kitchen design and landscaping.
Lauren Espeseth and I left our full-time jobs in June of 2018 to commit our time and energy to finishing our design and renovation, which we’ve done completely on our own, from geothermal heating and cooling to tub tiling, plumbing and woodwork. Even after a seemingly unending amount of arduous tasks (like spending six months sanding logs), I still reflect on it as the project of a lifetime.
The meticulous redesign was focused on building a home for finding your space – both mentally and physically – to realign.
Lucky for you, Little River is available for rent on Airbnb.
